The scouring cream is one of the basics of cleaners and it should be in every cleaning cupboard due to its wide range of applications.
ÖKOTEST (6/23) has not only evaluated the ingredients and cleaning performance, but also the packaging.
The best way to remove dirt is to act while it is still fresh and has not dried up. However, as it cannot always be implemented directly, for stubborn cases there is fortunately a versatile cleaning agent that can be used: sodasan Scouring Cream. As the product name suggests, mechanical force is also necessary to clean. The rest is done with powerful herbal ingredients and micro-fine marble powder which support the scratch-free cleaning of hard surfaces such as ceramics, enamel and stainless steel. Questionable ingredients like harmful fragrances, formaldehyde, formaldehyde donors, silicones or synthetic polymers which ÖKOTEST has found in products of competitors are not included in sodasan products.
These harmful substances enter the environment via wastewater. There these substances biodegrade very poorly, polluting the environment with hitherto unknown consequences. In this evaluation the sustainability of the packaging, measured by the percentage of recycled material of the bottle was included in the rating. “For us this is an appreciation of our efforts in the field of packaging, which have been on our agenda since 2011. Tests are also used for manufacturers to measure themselves. We have the highest percentage of recycled packing material among all tested products. However, the sustainability of packaging is ONE indicator of an organic product, but should not be the only one,” said founder; managing director Kerstin Stromberg.
